Toyota: Elevating the World's Largest Automaker as a Leader in Local Communities

Toyota is committed to not only engineering best-in-class vehicles, but also building vibrant local communities. Allison+Partners actively spotlights community building efforts through integrated communications programs, positioning Toyota as as a true neighbor.

To officially introduce the company to its new hometown in Plano, Texas, Toyota worked with Allison+Partners to introduce Hello Texas!, a Texas-sized block party to gain support of local businesses, top politicians from across the state and Dallas-based media. Our team worked in partnership with Toyota to attract local musicians, professional athletes and local chefs to build a one-day event that attracted more than 5,000 attendees.

Our team’s PR support generated public awareness surrounding Toyota’s $1 million donation to benefit Plano schools, highlighting Toyota’s commitment to being a model corporate citizen. Additionally, our strategic communications program underscored employment opportunities for those in and around the Plano area, communicating with thousands of members of the local community vying for newly created jobs well before Toyota’s new campus opens in 2017.
